Please allow up to four weeks for processing. Please contact the Camp SPARC! director to facilitate any refunds or for questions concerning our policies.

Please send campers in weather appropriate casual clothes each day. Closed toe tennis shoes are preferable and flip-flops are not permitted. Please ensure that your child is wearing shorts under dresses or skirts. We are planning to swim 2 days a week this summer! Please send swim gear (including a fresh towel) with your camper in a backpack on swim days.  We also recommend an emergency change of clothes. Campers are expected to change with minimal assistance in and out of swimwear. Make sure that your camper is able to perform this task before the first day of camp.
Lunch and Snacks

Campers must bring lunch & full water bottle every day.  Snacks will be provided by the camp. There are no facilities to refrigerate lunches and campers will have no access to a microwave so please plan your lunches accordingly. Please label all lunch bags clearly & there are many opportunities throughout the day to refill water bottles.
Items Prohibited

Please help us by not allowing your child to bring the following items to camp: jewelry, electronics, fireworks, lighters, weapons, drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, or other inappropriate items. These will be confiscated and a behavioral warning issued if necessary. Valuables will be returned to parents at the end of the day when possible, however, the camp is not responsible for any lost or stolen goods.
Camp Password

When you register your child you will be asked to choose a camp password.  Please write down your camp password during your registration process and do not share with your children. Only share this password with those individuals you have authorized to pick up your children from camp. The password enables us to release your child at the end of each camp day.
Age Groupings & Buddy Requests

Campers are placed in groups with similarly aged kids. Groups are organized to maintain a ratio of 8 campers to 1 counselor.  Prior to the first day of camp, we can try to place friends together in the same group if they are similar ages.  Please note your friend requests in the specified field during online registration.  With or without notice, we cannot guarantee that campers are in the same group. We cannot adjust camper groups after each camp session begins.

All medications including over the counter and inhalers your child needs during the camp day must be given to a staff member during check in daily. Please send only the amount of medication needed for that day with detailed instructions, along with the child’s full name. Do not send medication with the child; we will confiscate and report any unauthorized medications found with the camper. If your child has severe allergies or conditions that require special attention, please contact us prior to camp to ensure we are meeting all of your child’s needs.
Camp Visitors

If parents and friends are interested in visiting during camp hours, please contact the director of CAMP SPARC! to set up an appointment. Visitation is limited for the safety of campers and can only be approved and led by the director.

Our plan is for campers to swim 1 day per week weather permitting. Swimming days are TBA and will be at Grant Park Pool. Please have your camper wear their swimwear on the designated swim day, and pack additional clothes & towel in their backpack. Swimming may be canceled in case of inclement weather or unexpected pool closings.

All campers should be able to change out of their swimwear into clothes without assistance. If you have a young camper who is inexperienced at this, please practice at home before your first week of scheduled camp.
Camper Drop Off:

  1. You may drop your camper off any time between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM.
  2. Please drop off at the St. Paul Ave church entrance door only.
  3. Please note you must sign your child in and out every day.
  4. All late drop-offs must call the SPARC! Director to arrange for a late drop-off.  Your camper will be connected with his or her group as soon as possible.

Camper Pick Up:

  1. All camper pickups are conducted at the St. Paul Ave church entrance door (same place as drop off). Campers will not be released unless the appropriate codeword is given at the time of checkout if someone other than their parents are picking them up.
  2. If you are picking up several campers, you'll need the codeword for each camper.

Early Pick Up: If you need to pick up a camper before 5 PM, please be sure to call the SPARC! Director to make arrangements. We will need at least 30 minutes notice to facilitate pick-up.

Late Pick-Up
All camp pick-up ends at 5:00 PM sharp. If your child is picked up later than 5:00 PM an additional $1 per minute per child will be assessed. If a camper has not been picked up by 5:00 PM, late fees must be paid at pickup or arrangements made for payment the following morning. Frequent late pick-up without prior arrangement may lead to removal from the program.
Code of Conduct:
All campers are expected to adhere to the Camp SPARC Code of Conduct.  Campers are expected to treat other campers, counselors, and staff with respect and kindness.  No foul language, kicking, hitting, biting, bullying or other disruptive behavior will be allowed.  Campers also must listen to counselors and stay with their groups at all times.  Campers cannot leave their groups unattended or run away from their groups for any reason.  Expectations will be reviewed with all campers on the first day of each week.  If a camper breaks these rules, they can receive disciplinary action that may involve but not be limited to a verbal warning, a written warning or the camper may be banned from the program and future weeks of camp.  Parents may also be called to pick-up campers immediately if disciplinary action is required. If a camper is banned the full payment for up to two future weeks booked will not be returned.

Thank you for helping us make Camp SPARC! run smoothly!
